Our Herbarium was established in 1952. Its acronym is KOR. Now, it has over 70000 herbarium sheets, collected by our scientific staff and received via interchange with other scientific institutions. In our herbarium you can find mainly woody plants from Central Europe, Mediterranean region, especially its eastern and western parts, as well as from SW Asia.

For several years, the herbarium collection has been housed in a mobile storage system, which greatly reduces the amount of floor space needed. It was modernized thanks to a grant from the Foundation for Polish Science.
