Research interests

Laboratory of Molecular Biology was created on the 1st of September 2003. We are interested in applying molecular markers to study spatial and genetic structures of population, natural hybridization, adaptation, molecular phylogenetics of native tree species. We also use allozymes markers to describe genetic variation of population and study trees' mating system.

List of selected grants and scientific studies:

  • Geographic structure of Norway Spruce mtDNA polymorphism in Poland.
The project is financed by The Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
  • Development of molecular based methods for identification and early evaluation of reforestation material and implementation of the methods to the forestry.
The project is financed by The National Forests and worked in cooperation with the Department of Genetics, University of Bydgoszcz and Forest Research Institute.
  • Reproductive processes on Norway Spruce second generation seeds plantation.
The project is financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and worked in cooperation with The Laboratory of Genetics ID PAS.
  • Genetic and geographic differentiation of Juniperus oxycedrus L. and related taxa of Juniperus genus (Cupressaceae) from Pleistocene refugia.
