Research focus:

Trees and forest ecosystems are facing the changing environmental conditions, including climate change.

In my studies, I use data from common garden experiments and statistical modelling to assess how intraspecific genetic variation and phenotypic plasticity shape the response of various tree species to changing environment.

The results of my research help to understand the possible fate of forest ecosystems and to inform management decisions regarding the practical use of forest reproduction material.

Keywords:

quantitative genetics, tree improvement, genetic and physiological determinants of variation in the productivity of forest trees, phenotypic plasticity, global change and its impacts on forest ecosystems
