Publishing scientific journals at the Institute of Dendrology of the Polish Academy of Sciences has a long history, dating back to the times when our scientific institution was established in Kórnik - then the Tree and Forest Research Institute.
Today, the Institute publishes the journal "Dendrobiology", which is indexed in the Web of Science Clarivate database. The journal is published in open access; neither authors nor readers pay any fees for publishing articles or reading their content. "Dendrobiology" publishes both original scientific papers and review papers, which cover research in the field of biology and ecology of woody plants and the ecological systems they co-create. The editorial team supervises the quality of works published in our journal and sent for review by scientists from various scientific units.
According to the latest ranking of journals indexed by Web of Science Clarivate - Journal Citation Reports 2023 - the Impact Factor of "Dendrobiology" is 1.4, and in the FORESTRY category it is in the Q2 quartile. In the current list of scientific journals (Communication of the Minister of Science of January 5, 2024), which is a list prepared for the purposes of evaluating the quality of scientific activity in Poland, articles published in "Dendrobiology" are assigned a value of 100 points.
