During the plenary meeting of the Forest Sciences and Wood Technology Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw, 19.11.2024), the Chairman and Deputy chairman of the European Forest Institute (EFI) were elected.
The function of Chairman of the Committee was entrusted to Dr. Zbigniew Karaszewski of Lukasiewicz - Poznan Institute of Technology, and the function of Deputy Chairman of the Committee was entrusted to Prof. Andrzej M. Jagodzinski of our Institute.
The European Forest Institute was established in 1993 in Joensuu (Finland). As an independent scientific organization, it supports forestry by developing forestry research and creating a network of scientific cooperation in forestry.
