The Regional Forest Celebration, organized by the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Warsaw, was held on June 11 at the Center for Culture and Art in Siedlce. The event was held under the theme “Forests for a new 100th anniversary”.
Guests, invited by the director of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Warsaw - Tomasz Józwiak - were able to listen to three lectures: by Prof. Andrzej M. Jagodziński from our Institute, Prof. Stanisław Małek from the Faculty of Forestry at the Hugo Kołłątaj Agricultural University in Cracow, and Dr. Emilia Wysocka-Fijorek, Prof. IBL, from the Forest Research Institute in Sękocin Stary. The speeches focused a lot on the challenges facing foresters, forest management and nature conservation.
We encourage you to listen to the conversation of editor Monika Półbratek (Radio Eska) with the hosts and invited speakers. In his speech, Prof. Jagodzinski tried to explain to listeners what impact the dynamically changing climate has on forests.
