SEMINAR ANNOUNCEMENT

The Institute of Dendrology PAS invites you to a scientific seminar entitled “Planning for adaptation of cities to climate change. A comparative study of selected cities in Poland”, and the speaker will be MSc Michalina Piegat.
During the seminar, issues will be presented concerning the role of climate adaptation plans as a key element of modern urban policy, particularly in the context of threats such as heatwaves, droughts and heavy rainfall. The importance of these documents for structuring spatial and environmental actions, as well as for reducing the impacts of climate change in urbanised areas, will be discussed. The seminar will also present the results of analyses covering the preparatory and analytical stages, confirming the legitimacy of developing such plans.
The seminar will take place in the seminar room of the Institute of Dendrology PAS.
