Research focus:
My research focuses on advancing the methodological aspects of species distribution models (SDMs), understanding the determinants of forest ecosystem transformations, and investigating the effects of climate change on forest vegetation. My work also addresses key challenges related to habitat fragmentation, the efficiency of protected areas, and their conservation under increasing land use changes by anthropogenic pressures and climate change. This interdisciplinary approach places my research at the intersection of forest ecology, landscape conservation, and adaptation to climatic changes. I have extensive experience and a strong interest in forest dynamics, particularly the Caucasus, and Western Asia (Irano-Anatolian).
