Research focus:

My research is focused on the genetic basis of variation in woody species. I use the results of my studies to develop protection and restitution programmes, and to formulate guidelines for forestry.

I am interested in the impact of human activities and the presence of invasive species on the genetic pools of indigenous tree populations.

In addition, my work incorporates topics connected with hybridisation, phenotypic plasticity and genomic selection. I also focus on the impact of climate change on the functioning of forest ecosystems. In my work,
I
try to use the results of genetic analyses to inform actions mitigating the negative impacts of environmental changes.

I
promote science and conduct educational activities. I approach my work with a sense of responsibility for shaping a better future for the current and future generations.
