The Department of Scientific Information (DIN) supports the research activities of the Institute of Dendrology, Polish Academy of Sciences, providing comprehensive support for processes related to research management, research projects, institutional reporting, doctoral education and internationalisation.
Research Projects and Funding
DIN supports the Institute’s researchers throughout the entire project lifecycle – from identifying funding opportunities and analysing calls for proposals, through preparing applications and budgets, to project implementation, reporting, and administrative and financial closure.
The Department coordinates the formal and administrative aspects of the application process and supports project leaders in their communication with funding bodies.

Institutional Development
DIN contributes to the development and implementation of procedures and institutional policies supporting the Institute’s development as a modern, open and internationally oriented research organisation.
The Department was involved in implementing the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, a process that resulted in the Institute receiving the HR Excellence in Research Award in 2024. DIN also contributed to the development of the Institute’s Gender Equality Plan.
The Department is additionally involved in the organisation of scientific conferences and events, science communication and outreach activities, as well as initiatives funded through external programmes.
