VISITING WITH A FIELD GAME
VISITING WITH A FIELD GAME
1. Quest
Visiting with the use of a field game from the Wielkopolskie Questy series is great fun for the whole family, suitable for both adults and children. The route of the game leads through the most interesting corners of the Arboretum, requires the visitor to read the boards and look for clues in the field, but most importantly - it keeps the visitor occupied and entertained. It is ideal for those who prefer active sightseeing.
To play, simply print the flyer from the website: https://regionwielkopolska.pl/artykuly-turystyka/wielkopolskie-questyarboretum-w-korniku/ or download it at the Arboretum's box office and you can begin your dendrological adventure. During the game, participants wander through the garden solving riddles from a rhyming story, prompting the next steps and indicating the paths to follow. After solving the riddles, they find a secret treasure at the end of the tour and join the group of conquerors, while absorbing a lot of information about the plants and history of the park. The game usually takes participants about 45 minutes. You can go through it individually (each with their own leaflet) or in groups (for example, during a school trip you can divide the group into smaller teams of 3-5 people). An unquestionable advantage of this form of active sightseeing is the fact that the game does not require an instructor or reservation and can be used at any time (during the Arboretum's opening hours). However, it requires concentration and careful reading of the text, so children who still find it difficult to read should be helped.
2. Great Adventure in Wielkopolska Gardens
The second game available at the Kórnik Arboretum is the "Great Adventure in Wielkopolska Gardens" game. The game is a joint venture of seven botanical gardens from the Wielkopolska region.
Its purpose is to encourage the participant to visit all the gardens of Wielkopolska and to search in them for the answers to the riddles on the game card. Answers written in the boxes on the game card will reveal the password. In addition, each garden has a hidden stamp, which can be affixed as a souvenir in the space provided on the game card. The game cards can be downloaded on site at the respective garden or printed from the website: http://www.obuam.robia.pl/index.php?id=3583.
The game is aimed primarily at families, is an excellent form of spending time together and motivates active recreation. The participant decides himself when and in what order to visit each garden.
Both games are free of charge and do not require advance reservations.
Important note: This form is only available in Polish.

VISITS WITH AN AUDIO GUIDE
The free "Arboretum Kórnickie" application can be downloaded in the Play Store or App Store.
The application has an option for adults and children (so-called family version).
Classic version
The option of visiting with an audio guide was created with all visitors in mind, both those visiting our Arboretum individually and in groups. This is a form of sightseeing for people who value freedom and individualism - we choose the walking route and the plants and places we want to learn more about ourselves.
The audio guide takes the form of a phone application with recordings of descriptions of selected plants. In the Arboretum, next to individual plants, there are plaques with a headphones symbol and a number corresponding to the audio guide recordings. Recordings from this version of the guide can also be played outside the garden.
Family version
It is intended for younger audiences. While learning about different species of plants, children are accompanied by, among others, characters from the history of the garden. During the tour, viewers follow a designated route and solve puzzles.
