
During the conference, three competitions will be held for early-career researchers. Their aim is to recognize the most outstanding presentations and to support the professional development and scientific activity of young researchers.
The competitions are open to early-career researchers employed at universities or research institutions who hold an M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree, as well as doctoral candidates and undergraduate or graduate students, born after 1991, who actively participate (first author) in the conference by presenting the results of their research in the form of a poster.
Eligible participants may enter the competitions by indicating their willingness to participate in the registration form.
Participation in the competition constitutes consent for the names of the award-winning authors to be published on the conference website and the Institute's social media channels, as well as in press releases issued by the conference's media partners.
Award of the Director of the Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Poznań
This competition is open to early-career researchers, Master's students, and undergraduate students who actively participate in the conference. Eligible participants may enter the competition by indicating their willingness to participate in the registration form. The competition aims to recognize outstanding poster presentations showcasing research results of significant practical relevance to contemporary forestry and nature conservation. Only posters for which an eligible participant is either the sole author or the first author will be considered. The Director of the Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Poznań will select the three best posters, and their lead authors will receive awards. Participation in the competition constitutes consent to the publication of the award-winning author's name and photograph on the Institute's website and other media channels.
Award of the President of the Greater Poland Branch of the Polish Forestry Society
This competition is open to early-career researchers, Master's students, and undergraduate students who actively participate in the conference. Eligible participants may enter the competition by indicating their willingness to participate in the registration form. The competition aims to recognize outstanding poster presentations reporting the results of long-term research, either as comprehensive studies or as individual stages of ongoing research projects, that make a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge in forestry and nature conservation. Only posters for which an eligible participant is the sole author or the first author will be considered. A committee appointed by the President of the Greater Poland Branch of the Polish Forestry Society will select the three best posters, and their lead authors will receive awards. Participation in the competition constitutes consent to the publication of the award-winning author's name and photograph on the Institute's website and other media channels.
Award of the Director of the Institute of Dendrology, Polish Academy of Sciences
This competition is open to early-career researchers, Master's students, and undergraduate students who actively participate in the conference. Eligible participants may enter the competition by indicating their willingness to participate in the registration form. The competition aims to recognize outstanding poster presentations showcasing research on the biology and ecology of woody plants. Only posters for which an eligible participant is the sole author or the first author will be considered. Voting ballots for the Best Poster Award will be distributed to all conference participants. Each participant will be invited to select the three posters they consider the best. The lead author of the poster receiving the highest total score will be awarded the Director's Award of the Institute of Dendrology, Polish Academy of Sciences. Participation in the competition constitutes consent to the publication of the award-winning author's name and photograph on the Institute's website and other media channels.
