Research focus:
I am particularly interested in various aspects of interaction between woody plants and herbivorous arthropods, and the role of factors affecting this interdependency.
My research focuses on diversifying tree defence strategies against herbivores, factors affecting the choice of food by insects, and the impact of food quality and temperature on the growth and viability parameters of selected insect species. The studies include both field research and laboratory experiments related to insect breeding. My work also concerns interactions between trees and leaf miners and gall inducing insects. In recent years, my research focus has also included the effect of mistletoe on woody plants, particularly on Scots pine.

Keywords:
ecophysiology of woody plants, plant-insect interactions, experimental entomology, parasitic plants, leaf miners, gall-inducing insects
