Appointment of the New Scientific Council of the Kostrzyca Forest Gene Bank

An international scientific conference was held in Torun in 2022, entitled. “Challenges for container nursery in the face of climate change”. Its organizers were the Directorate General of State Forests, the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Torun and the Dobrzejewice Forest District.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the State Forests and the 100th anniversary of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Torun, the materials from the conference - edited by Dr. Maciej Kuss, Head of the Department of Silviculture of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Torun - were published in print. They are worth reading.

Scientific Seminars – presentation of research results conducted in 2024

You are cordially invited to participate in the scientific seminars, during which the results of selected research projects conducted at the Institute of Dendrology, Polish Academy of Sciences in 2024 will be presented. Last year, the Institute's staff carried out two research projects as part of our statutory activities, namely, “The Complexity of Forest Ecosystem Functions as the Basis for Their Protection and Management in Both Natural and Transformed Systems” (forest sciences) and “The Biological Foundations of the Functioning of Arboreal Plants under Changing Environmental Conditions” (biological sciences).
