The Arboretum of the Institute of Dendrology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, known as the Kórnik Arboretum, is located in Kórnik.
Kórnik is a small tourist town located by the Lake Kórnik. It is located in the Greater Poland province, 20 kilometers southeast of Poznań, on the national road No. 11. It is only a quarter of an hour by car from Poznań. You can also easily get here by bus (suburban transport "KOMBUS" - lines 501 and 560; PKS; MARCO-POLO), stop "Kórnik-rynek" - 5 minutes walk to the Arboretum.
Kórnik is primarily famous for its beautiful Castle and Arboretum.

The Arboretum features collections of trees and shrubs from the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere. In particular, from Asia, North America. The number of species and varieties in the arboretum's collections is currently about 3,500.
Educational paths, an educational glade, a picnic clearing and a playground have been prepared for visitors. There is also an Arboretum office on the Arboretum grounds.
When entering the Arboretum grounds, please follow the Rules and Regulations.
It is possible to enter with a dog. It is mandatory to lead it on a leash and clean up after it. The owner is responsible for the animals under his care.
Before coming to the Arboretum, it is worth planning the form of your visiting, as well as deciding on a self-exploration or taking guided tour.
It is also worth learning about the history of the place.

Please note: The main entrance to the Arboretum is located next to the Castle at Zamkowa Street 5.
Before entering the Arboretum, you must purchase an entrance ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office before entering the facility (payment by card or cash). Ticket sales end half an hour before the Arboretum closes.
The ticket allows you to visit the Arboretum on your own. Within the Arboretum there are educational paths, an educational openning, a picnic opening, a playground, and the Arboretum office.
Other forms of sightseeing involve additional costs. Organized groups wishing to visit the park with a guide should book a trip by phone or e-mail. School groups are invited to green lessons or workshops.

You are entitled to a reduced ticket (based on appropriate documents):

Family: 40 PLN
A family ticket is intended for two adults and a maximum of five children (up to 18 years of age).
Important: If the tour participants commit a gross violation of the Arboretum Regulations, the leader has the right to interrupt the tour without refund.
The leader will wait no longer than 15 minutes for a late group, so any changes should be informed in advance by phone. Delay may result in the tour being shortened by the delay time (without changing the costs).

Is there any admission fee to the Arboretum?
Yes, during the tourist season (spring, summer and autumn) admission is paid. The price list of tickets can be found on our website.
Is the Arboretum open on holidays?
Yes, the Arboretum is open every day, all year round, seven days a week, including every holiday. Opening hours in particular month can be found on our website. We would like to inform you that in case of unfavorable weather conditions, violent storms and winds, the Arboretum may be temporarily closed. In such a case, we publish information on our website.
Is it possible to enter the Arboretum with the dog?
Yes, the condition is to lead a dog on a leash and clean up after it (you need to have own bags). The owner is responsible for his pet. In the case of dangerous breeds and aggressive dogs, the animal must be led with a muzzle. It is strictly forbidden to let dogs off the leash. During periods with particularly high tourist traffic (e.g., may weekends), we advise you to rethink your visit with a dog due to the high stress for animals.
Is it possible to ride an electric bicycle/scooter around the garden?
No, bicycles, electric scooters or any motorized vehicles are not allowed on the Arboretum grounds. Bicycles/scooters may be driven around the garden or left at the entrance.
Does not apply to garden staff and maintenance services.
Is it possible to buy plants at the Arboretum?
No, the Arboretum does not sell plants.
Is it necessary to register larger groups?
No, if the group has its own pilot or if it wants to visit the garden on its own there is no need to register in advance. Only groups that want to visit the Arboretum with a garden employee (guided tour, educational classes) should be registered.
