Dr hab. Joanna Mucha, prof. ID PAN - offers mentoring for PhD students and early-career researchers in planning and conducting scientific research in the fields of plant ecology, root biology, and plant–microorganism interactions, as well as support in preparing scientific publications. The mentoring also covers academic career development, planning international mobility, and building scientific collaborations. I have many years of experience as a principal investigator of research projects funded by the National Science Centre (NCN) and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, as well as a team member in numerous national projects, including OPUS and MAESTRO programmes. I have served as an expert reviewer of research proposals (including for NCN and NAWA) and have extensive peer-review experience for international journals in ecology, plant biology, microbiology, and forest sciences. I am the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dendrobiology, a journal indexed in Web of Science, and a guest editor of thematic/special issues in international journals. I have completed international research stays, including at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (Sweden), Helmholtz Zentrum München (Germany), INRA Nancy (France), and the University of Minnesota (USA). I have a strong publication record in leading scientific journals (including Global Change Biology, Ecology Letters, Journal of Ecology, New Phytologist, Plant and Soil, and Forest Ecology and Management). I also have experience delivering training sessions and workshops for PhD students and early-career researchers on scientific publishing, grant writing, publication strategy, and planning research stays abroad.
